Wellington Aboriginal Corporation Health Service - Tackling Indigenous Smoking Campaign
Quit B Fit Pledge 2022
In 2022, the Quit B Fit Pledge inspired Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to commit to a smoke-free lifestyle through a culturally safe, community-driven campaign. The pledge empowered participants to take action for their health, supported by family, culture, and Country. Through engaging digital content, community events, and personal pledges, the campaign built momentum across regions, raising awareness of the harms of smoking while celebrating the strength of those choosing to live smoke-free.
The initiative demonstrated that when community, culture, and health come together, young people get inspired to take charge of their knowledge around health.
